Message be in the same condition as yours. Just used plenty of PB Blaster and had very good luck with an Autozone Duralast 10/12 mm flare wrench with hinged heads. It fit the nut extremely well, there was no slop. The moveable head was key for the rear nuts. Allowed the attack angle to be adjusted. The wrench was also not very long, another good thing for that space.

Hopefully they still sell the wrenches? When I got mine they were well stocked by the local store. One other tip when using it, wrap a rag or similar around the wrench body. Makes a big difference in getting a better grip and applying extra muscle. Also try tightening the nut a little, sometimes that works to break it loose.

I had good luck with my job, none of he nuts ended up getting rounded off. That was a pleasant surprise.
